Coin through the table

Astound your friends by passing a coin through a glass table - without smashing it.The Trick:Using an ordinary two pence piece, get someone in the audience to check it. Tap the coin on the table and magically it will have passed through the table and into your hand below the table.Steps:1. This trick relies on a move called a false transfer or a French drop. This basically makes it look like you are transferring the coin from one hand to the other when in fact you are not.2. Hold the coin in your left hand in the rim between the tip of your thumb and fingers. Keep your fingers together and keep them facing forward so that your audience can’t see what is happening in the rest of your hand.3. When you are going to grab the coin, bring your right hand in with your thumb facing you and your fingers together. Bring the thumb of your left hand underneath the coin as if you are going to grab it. But instead of grabbing the coin, you release it into the palm of your hand.4. A good tip is to always look where you want your audience to look. Therefore, for this trick, once you have faked the grab keep your eyes on your right hand, not your left.5. The coin should be wedged in the grip of your finger in your left hand.6. At this point move your left hand underneath the table and bring your right hand over the table with the fingertips down as if you are going to push the coin through the tabletop.7. The key to the illusion is the timing of you hitting the table with your right hand fingertips and the coin tapping the table from below.
